Tara holds a BA in Ceramics and has been working with clay for nearly a decade. After completing her degree, she began working professionally as a production potter under the guidance of a master ceramicist. In 2016 she founded Pitch Pine Pottery, her pride and joy.
Tara is inspired by the natural world. Her travels and the people she meets are an endless source of inspiration. "The promise of clay invites experimentation, and with so many methods to pursue within the medium, my work is constantly evolving" - Tara Brault
After working in organic farming and permaculture, Matthew found his first artistic calling in iron and steel. At age 20 he was working professionally as a blacksmith, and four years later completed his apprenticeship with master blacksmith Mark Atchison. Together with his wife Tara he founded Pitch Pine Pottery, which has become his pride and joy.
In 2018 Matthew found his second artistic calling: photography. After teaching himself and studying the art, he now works professionally behind the lens. He is inspired by the natural world, travel and people.
